The
Fruit of Neglect
By Suzin McNeill
The
Holy Spirit affirms His faith and truth every time the Living Word is
shared. He does bring forth truth but, does the Church really believe
its own doctrines? Witnesses within the congregation are left standing
and still questioning as three or five point emotional sermons continue.
Personality, excitment, laughter, and emotioalism can not replace the
truth of The Anointing.
Many of today's pulpits are contending that the name Jesus is used as nothing more than a figure of
speech for their religous atmosphere and is regarded as one of the
misfortunes of the christian personality. Religisostity, and churchanity have been
claimed, and substituted for The Holy Spirit. Atmosphere is
valued above His Presence. Religious assemblies of certain denominations
give a large place for silent pauses as punctuated by emotional excitement. What
has happened to
living in truth everyday?
Where do you go to embrace truth? Where are you given the
opportunity to share with other believers what the Holy Spirit has
shared with you?
When our forefathers glowed with fires kindled in the
soul, the first beginning assembly gave loud vent in noises and catchy sayings or quotes from men. The modern
way
is to be still and voiceless. Spirituality and silence are wedded
as revivalism and rowdiness. Both types are emotional, but
revivalists did believe their work was of The spirit; the quietism ( Definition
of quietism: a system of religious mysticism teaching that
perfection and spiritual peace are attained by annihilation.) This is the
the idea that a human soul is not immortal unless it is given eternal
life of the
will and passive absorption in contemplation of God. Dividing thing
with a passive withdrawn attitude or policy toward the world or worldly
affairs
cultivates psychological influence). They speak of the
Spirit with a different content from that of the Truth. The blunders
and disasters of the Church are largely, if not entirely, accounted
for by the neglect of the Spirit’s Ministry and Mission. The jumble
fixed and mixed in a confused mass; put and throned together without
true order of speculation about the Bible takes no account of the
Holy Spirit. It regards inspiration as negligible, and insists upon
manly interpreting revealed truth by no standards except those of
history and literature which were inspired by darkness to keep all
the world in a full blanket of lies. Miracles are condemned without
trial. Prophecy is dismissed without inquiry. Revelation is ignored
without reason. All truth is thrust into traditional ruts. Our Lord
spoke of the Spirit as the Spirit of Truth, and promised that He
would guide us, His people, into all truth. He spoke by the Prophet,
His Priest. There were many writers, but He is the Author,
and Finisher. The Bible can neither be accounted for, nor interpreted
but by His guidance, The VOICE.
He
holds the key.
He
is the Key.
Revealed
Truth can be known only through the Revelator. Ignoring this,
scholars and historians, grammarians and antiquanans, critics and
agnostics, are blind in the midst of light. The same result is seen
in the belief about our Lord Jesus Christ, the Experience of Grace,
and the Doctrine of the Christ. No man can say Jesus is Lord save by
the Holy Spirit, but men are seeking to interpret the Christ in terms
of reason by the unlearned, history, and philosophy. The Christian
religion was birthed out from those who began in a New Birth in the
power of the Spirit. It was developed under His guidance, and
sustained by His presence; but ignoring the Spirit, becomes a matter
of education and evolution. The True Church is the Body of Christ
begotten, undefied, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit, but masses have forgotten it's purpose, therefore
sidestepping its true functions, and orders within the gospel
becoming stale. The Christian religion is hopeless without the Holy Spirit. The problems of the Church as in truth, so it is in service.
The Church is helpless and dried out without the presence and power of the Holy
Spirit. The Church never talked so much about itself and its problems
which were kept behind closed boardrooms. The Church has been led
too often by their traditions. By speaking their minds they rule over
the Spirit of God and His will and His word clearly revealed when sought.
The
mind is the throne room of Satan. Mindlessness is always a bad sign
and the true mark of the beast . The lust for talk about work
increases as the power for work declines. Conferences multiply when
work fails. The problems of the Church are never solved by talking
about them. The problems arise out of failures. There is no need to
discuss the problem of reaching the masses or the one, so long as the
masses are being reached. There are no problems in empty churches. There is no class-meeting question, so
long as the class meeting throbs with life and ministers to the
manifold needs of the heart and life. The power to attract is in
attractiveness, and it is useless to advertise the banquet if there
is nothing to eat. We are acting as though the only remedy for
decline is methods, programs, organizations, and compromises. The
Church is failing to meet modern needs, grip the modern mind, and
saves modern life.
The Saints are the ordained rulers of the earth,
but
they do not rule; indeed, they have dropped the sceptre and
repudiated the responsibility. The helplessness of the Church is
pathetic and tragic. There might be no such Person as the Holy Spirit
so says believers without the Holy Spirit The Church knows quite well
both the reason and the remedy for failure. The human resources of
the Church were never so great. The opportunities of the Church were
never so glorious. The need for the work of the Church was never so
urgent. The crisis is momentous; and the Church staggers helplessly
amid it all. When the ancient Church reproached God, He found them
sleeping at the post of duty,. God charged His people with being
staggering drunk. The Church knows perfectly well what is the matter.
Yet they have made many explanation for there changed conditions.
When were conditions ever anything else? The Church has lost the note
of authority, the secret of wisdom, and the gift of power, through
persistent and willful neglect of the Holy Spirit of God. Confusion
and impotence are inevitable when the wisdom and resources of the
world are substituted for the presence and power of the Spirit of God
proofs abound. The New Testament furnishes examples of Churches filled
with the Spirit and Churches without the Spirit. The differences are
obvious. The Church of which Apollos was minister had not so much as
heard that the Spirit was given. The Church in our day has no such
excuse. He has been shut out
from the province in which He is indispensable. Religion has been
reconstructed with-out Him. There is no denial of the supernatural,
but it is insisted that the supernatural must conform to natural law.
It is admitted that truth is inspired, but its inspiration must
develop along the lines of natural selection and growth. Religion
cannot be allowed to have come upon any other lines than those of
literature, philosophy, and ethics.
The
Christian religion has simply the honor of being less faulty than the
rest. Jesus Christ must be accounted for in the same way. He is
simply the crown and consummation of a progressive humanity. The
emphasis is upon the Man, and in that emphasis there is reason to
rejoice but the strange thing is that in the intense interest in
Jesus the certainties about Him that come through the Spirit have
been lost. Doctrine Without Experience the Church still has a
theology of the Holy Spirit, but it has no living consciousness of
His presence and power. Theology without experience is like faith
without works: it is dead. The signs of death abound. Prayer-meetings
have died out because men did not believe in the Holy Spirit The
liberty of prophesying has gone because men believe in investigation
and not in inspiration. There is a dearth of conversions because
faith about the New Birth as a creative act of the Holy Spirit has
lost its grip on intellect and heart. The experience of the Second
Gift of Grace is no longer preached and testified, because Christian
experience, though it may have to begin in the Spirit, must be
perfected in the wisdom of the flesh and the culture of the schools.
Confusion and impotence are the inevitable results when the wisdom
and resources of the world are substituted for the presence and power
of the Holy Spirit. The rebound from materialism is seen in such
movements as Christian Science, Spiritualism, and Theosophy. And all
not named the Church Jesus Christ It is the truth in these things
that gives them their power, and it is useless to denounce them. They
are the reaction of the spirit against the bondage of the flesh and
of the mind. The cravings they represent must be met by the
experience of Pentecost. Modernism and Mysticism are also the
products of a religion that is not baptized of the Holy Spirit Sacerdotalism is another.
The
Holy Truth is simple, walk only in one name, The name of the Holy Son
of God as commanded. Be baptized in the name of Jesus as we know him
in Columbus County, yet his true name is Yahushua, the Holy name of our Messiah is Yahushua.המשיח
Through out all of Columbus County just about everyone will tell you the true name of their baptism. They say they are christian
.This is the false doctrine and a not of value of faith.
We all must correct our statements to become Holy unto His Name.
(Wikipedia
Sacerdotalism is the belief that propitiatory sacrifices for sin
require the intervention of a priest or reverend. That is, it is the belief that
a special, segregated order of men called reverend
, are the ones who can commune
directly with God or the gods, so therefor they must remain in charge
over the masses) The
English words for reverend include respectful, reverent, reverential,
assentaneous, deferential, humble and obeisant. Therefore they allow
others and their self will to plaster this label on themselves to there
everlasting shame.
The title “Reverend” has been adopted in many English-speaking
denominations as a courtesy designation for clergymen. Higher orders are
designated as “Very Reverend,” “Right Reverend,” or “Most Revered".
These
things flourish on impoverished soil and dunghills. They are the
works of the flesh, and the product of spiritual death. The remedy
for them is not in reproach and bitterness, but in floods and
rivers, winds and sun of love planted in divine truth. The answer is in
the demonstration of a
supernatural faith of Our precious Fathers call to the public warfare
called preaching by the Holy Spirit, and the only way to the
supernatural life is in
the abiding presence of the Spirit of God through GRACE! "OBEY HIS VOICE TO REMAIN IN HIS FAVOR".
